Financial Controller - Hospitality

A multinational Hospitality organisation based in Dublin City (hybrid) have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller role. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations. Salary for this role is €75,000 - €80,000 plus benefits and bonus along with hybrid working. Previous hospitality experience in a similar role is essential.

A multinational Hospitality organisation based in Dublin City (hybrid) have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller role. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations. This role will include financial analysis and reporting, audit and control programs and analysis and other ad hoc duties as required.

Salary for this role is €75,000 - €80,000 plus benefits and bonus along with hybrid working. Previous hospitality experience in a similar role is essential.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller – Hospitality

  • Streamline budget process and procedures in all our operational locations
  • Ensure that all relevant managers and department heads understand their financial responsibilities of their roles from understanding cost management, revenue generation opportunities, reading a P&L and creating budgets for their departments
  • Attend or implement regular finance meetings to ensure all relevant team members responsible for finance are taking ownership of their budgets, stock control and costs.
  • Look at ways to make full use of our technology at all our locations relating back to finance, from payroll systems, stock controls and ordering etc.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Preparation of weekly financial reports including forecasting of profits, cash and payroll. Assistance in the preparation of books and files for audit and declaration of VAT and payroll taxes, including compliance with payment deadlines
  • Identification of areas where value can be added including revenue and cost opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations, profitability and manage business risks
  • Preparation of Annual Accounts for auditors and assist the External Auditor with the annual financial audit and prepare adequately for same.

Key requirements of the Financial Controller – Hospitality

  • Accountancy qualification
  • Previous experience in Hospitality is essential
