Accounting Technician

A well-established international Company is looking to add an experienced Accounting Technician to its Finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role working closely with the Head of Finance and offers strong scope for development and progression over time.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing banking and treasury activities, including payments, bank reconciliations and account set-ups

• Monitoring daily cash balances and supporting cashflow planning and forecasting

• Preparing annual cashflow budgets and rolling forecasts

• Managing the Accounts Receivable function including invoicing, direct debits, statements and collections

• Posting daily transactions to the general ledger / accounting system

• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining internal controls

• Supporting the year-end audit and responding to audit queries

• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders (banks, customers, auditors)

• Providing general finance and administrative support as required

About You

• Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI / IATI / FMAAT or equivalent) or similar finance qualification

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role (Accounting Technician, Finance Officer, Accounts Assistant, AR / Treasury)

• Strong experience with bank reconciliations, cashflow, accounts receivable and accounting systems

• High level of accuracy with strong analytical skills

• Comfortable managing deadlines and working independently as well as part of a team

• Strong Microsoft Excel / MS Office skills

• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems
