Accounting Technician

A well-established international organisation is looking to add an experienced Accounting Technician to its Finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role working closely with the Head of Finance and offers strong scope for development and progression over time.

The role

• Manage banking and treasury activities including reconciliations, payments and account set-ups
• Monitor daily cash balances and assist with cashflow planning and forecasting
• Prepare annual cashflow budgets and ongoing forecasts
• Take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function – direct debits, statements and collections
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners
• Issue invoices and settlement documentation
• Post transactions to the accounting system on a daily basis
• Assist with the annual audit
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain internal controls
• Provide general finance and administrative support when required

About you
• Accounting Technician qualification (or similar)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting position
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Comfortable working to deadlines and managing your own workload
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong MS Office and accounting systems experience
• Practical, organised and proactive approach
