Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant Job:
As a Tax Accountant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring all reporting and compliance obligations are met. You will be tasked with preparing tax provisions for the month end, quarter end, and year-end close process for UK and Irish entities. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised as you provide guidance to local and Head Office finance teams on specific issues. Additionally, you will take ownership of ad hoc specified local and global projects, delivering them within demanding timelines whilst maintaining a high standard of technical accuracy.
- Provide tax reporting and compliance for entities based in the UK and Ireland
- Maintain a strong internal financial control environment
- Work alongside other UK and Toronto based Finance teams
- Assist with the tax notes for all the UK & Irish entities
- Prepare all journal entries relating to corporation tax and VAT
- Calculate and ensure all tax payments are made on timely basis
Requirements of the Tax Accountant Job:
The ideal candidate for the Tax Accountant position will bring a wealth of working knowledge of UK or Irish corporate tax, along with your understanding of VAT, particularly partial exemption for financial services, will be crucial in this role. Your outstanding analytical skills coupled with your proven organisational abilities will enable you to juggle competing priorities effectively.
