Our clients are seeking a Manager to join their external Audit team in Dublin. This role involves managing a portfolio of audit clients, assisting Partners, and occasionally engaging in special assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and proactive client service, exceeding expectations.
  • Liaise with Partners and staff, keep all parties updated.
  • Handle audit work, set budgets, and be aware of commercial impacts on clients' businesses.
  • Arrange timetables, book staff, plan, review, and complete audits.
  • Stay updated on compliance developments and their impacts on clients.
  • Manage client billing.

Staff Management

  • Organize staff, set clear expectations, provide training, and give feedback.
  • Ensure assessment forms are completed and feedback is provided.
  • Address any issues with junior staff.
  • Ensure personal receipt of appropriate training.

Business Development

  • Prepare proposals for new work.
  • Attend marketing events and client meetings.
  • Present at seminars and develop personal contacts.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with current clients.

Qualifications

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA).
  • Significant external audit experience.
  • Experience with entrepreneurial, OMB, and SME clients.
  • Business development experience (targeting, proposals, presentations, networking).
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing and motivating staff.
  • Ability to monitor costs against budget.
