Procurement Project Manager – My client, a Global FMCG organisation, is currently embarking on an exciting organisational transformation programme and requires a number of project managers. They specifically require an accomplished project managers to work in partnership with the global procurement teams to deliver successful projects as part of the ongoing global business transformation programme.
The Project Manager will support the Global Category Directors in leading category transformations into the new operating model. The Project Manager will lead special value realisation/improvement projects within the procurement function.
This role will be based in Dublin but will involve high levels of international travel.
Responsibilities:
- Providing project management direction and support to category transformations into the new operating model.
- Planning, executing and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
- Responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, staffing, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the management plan, including configuration, risk, project measurement and quality measurement plans
- Ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals
- Training and coaching others to drive strategy development process.
- Enabling procurement best practice sharing from one transformation to the following one.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an international management consultancy firm.
- Direct work experience in project management, expert knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Ability to lead and coach cross-functional teams within a global or MNC organisation
- Key competencies required; critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, influencing, leading, negotiation and conflict management
- Experience in a Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Finance role and
- Experience working as a Management Consultant in the areas of Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or Operations is preferred.
