My client is a leading global provider of asset management and investment technology solutions. The company's innovative solutions help corporations, financial institutions, financial advisors, and affluent families create and manage wealth. My client is seeking a Fund Accounting Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring the successful and accurate completion of the accounting and administrative servicing requirements for various alternative and/or mutual fund products and structures for assigned funds.
Principle Duties Include:
- Analysing changes in funds' values in relation to broader market fluctuations.
- Review of the funds' expenses
- Analysis of security and cash reconciliation breaks provided by the sub administrator
- Review and approve daily work performed by fund accountants
- Supervise staff accountants on systems, processing, procedures and job responsibilities
- Train, coach and mentor new employees, develop and motivate staff within their sub-unit
- Provide input and feedback to managers regarding employees' ongoing performance/development/performance appraisals
- Detailed analysis of pricing
- Carry out a detailed analysis of the funds' daily Net Asset Values (NAV's)
- Maintain a good working relationship with sub administrator as well as with internal relationship managers and other business units within SEI
- Communicating with the funds' product team to assist with the set up of new share classes/funds and fund strategies
- Performing procedures to ensure funds are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Analysing income distributions and reportable yields
Assisting with the set-up and reporting of the funds' Net Asset Values (NAV's)
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and audits as requested
- Communicating with the funds' custodian, transfer agency and trustee in matters relating to the funds
- Strictly adhere to established departmental fund accounting processing procedures and controls
- Meet client and investor reporting deliverables and deadlines
- Carry out all duties assigned to your role under the Company's Safety Statement, to ensure Health, Safety and Well being for all employees for whom you have responsibility
- Adhoc tasks / projects as required
Candidate Specification:
- 3 to 5 years fund accounting background with experience in Alternatives/Mutual Funds, however this does not preclude those with more experience from applying
- Knowledge of Investment (Financial) Services industry in Europe
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering requirements
- Knowledge and expertise of the Sungard InvestOne/ Investier system a plus
- Knowledge and expertise of the Advent Geneva system a plus
