A leading international financial services organisation is seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer to take responsibility for the development of a compliance function for a new entity it is launching in Dublin. The position will focus on ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Ireland Regulatory Requirements, the organisation’s Code of Conduct and group company policies.
Key Deliverables:
- Development and implementation of a compliance plan
- Management of the relationship with the CBI
- Preparation and roll out of a compliance monitoring program
- Preparation and presentation of compliance reports for the Board of Directors
- Preparation of an annual compliance statement
- Drafting of all compliance policies and procedures
- Oversight of compliance with regulations in each of the countries the organisation undertakes business in
- Contribute to the training and development needs of employees to ensure staff are fully aware of existing and changing compliance obligations
Required Skills:
- Relevant degree or other third level qualification; Professional Certificate or Professional Diploma in Compliance or equivalent is preferable
- Proven track record in a compliance role in financial services – preferably in general insurance or reinsurance
- Thorough knowledge of the prudential and consumer requirements as set out by the Central Bank of Ireland
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
