An exciting Financial Accountant opportunity exists in our client, a leading provider of reinsurance related financial and business risk solutions worldwide. Due to extensive growth in their finance team, they require a qualified accountant to join a challenging and fast-moving environment within their Dublin City Centre office.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing financial accounts in accordance with IFRS
• Assisting in the reconciliation of quarterly management accounts
• Preparing annual expense budget
• Liaising with internal and external audit team
• Preparing Central Statistics Office returns
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures
• Preparing quarterly SOX reconciliations
• Reconciling quarterly investments reports

Key requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification (preferably ACA/ACCA) or international equivalent
• Ideally possess post-qualification experience within (re)insurance, financial services or practice
• Strong technical accounting skills and a practice knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
• Proven ability to work in a challenging environment
• Solution focused individual with strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
