Our client is a global leading asset manager with close to €10 billion under management and a focus on fixed income products. Due to continued growth in their Dublin office, they are now looking to recruit an accountant with strong asset management, funds or other financial services experience to take responsibility for the daily investment accounting requirements for clients.

Key skills:

• Prepare monthly investment report package in accordance with US/UK GAAP and IAS
• Resolve statutory and tax investment accounting issues
• Maintain timely and accurate client accounting records
• Post, reconcile and review custodian and bank transactions
• Monthly reconciliation of account records to the custodial records (cash, holdings, transactions, income and dividends)
• Quarterly reconciliation of maturities and coupons with custodian bank
• Handling of corporate actions
• Valuation (pricing) policies and process and procedure
• Client billing including monitoring and reporting of investment fees

Key requirements:

• Part-qualified, finalist or recently qualified accountant (or international equivalent)
• Previous experience in accounting roles within financial services (preferably asset management, fund administration or practice)
• Previous experience in operations would be an advantage
• Strong proficiency at Excel spreadsheet modelling
• Ideally posses a basic or advanced knowledge of financial instruments (particularly fixed income products)
